Life Around Acero on Roosevelt: Your Guide to Goodyear, AZ There's a reason so many people are choosing Goodyear. It has the room and relaxed pace of the West Valley, and the rest of the Phoenix metro is still close. At Acero on Roosevelt, you're right in the middle of it. Here's what everyday life looks like when you call this corner of Goodyear home. Easy to Get Around Our community sits at the Northeast corner of Estrella Parkway and West Roosevelt Street, so your commute and your weekend plans both start with a quick drive. You're close to Interstate 10 and the Loop 303 Freeways, Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital, and Luke Airforce Base. Downtown Phoenix is an easy trip too, since Goodyear sits 17 miles west of Phoenix.  Quick errands are even closer. Right at the Estrella and Roosevelt intersection, Estrella Commons has ALDI, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, and Whataburger, so your coffee run or grocery stop is just around the corner.  Eat, Drink, and Linger a Little Saddle Mountain Brewing Company is the neighborhood favorite for good reason. It's located within Estrella Falls Marketplace and serves local craft beer and food, and it was voted Best Brewpub in the West Valley. Grab a patio table and stay a while.  Arizona Pizza Company is another local favorite for a relaxed pizza night. For something new, Goodyear's dining scene includes spots locals love like Spitz, Lucky Bao, and The Stillery, plus Cafe Bebida for your morning pick-me-up.  For dinner and a movie, the Harkins Estrella Falls 16 is the go-to.  Get Outside The Sonoran Desert is your backyard here. Estrella Mountain Regional Park has over 33 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The trails range from the gentle 2.4-mile Baseline Trail to the all-day Pederson Trail, so there's a route for every energy level. Go early, bring water, and watch the sun come up over the mountains.  Closer to home, the Goodyear Recreation Campus spans 86 acres with a recreational facility, community park, and aquatic center. Inside you'll find a multipurpose gymnasium, indoor track, and 25-yard lap pool. Heads up: the recreation and aquatics center is for Goodyear residents and their guests, and passes are required, which is one more perk of living here.  Take Me Out to the Ballgame Every spring, Goodyear becomes a baseball town. Goodyear Ballpark is the spring-training home of the Cleveland Guardians and Cincinnati Reds. The fun doesn't stop when the season does, either. The ballpark hosts events all year, from the February Arizona Balloon Classic to a Fourth of July celebration with fireworks, food, and live music.  A Calendar Full of Community Goodyear knows how to bring people together. This fall, Rock the BBQ comes to Goodyear Civic Square on October 3 from 5 to 9 p.m., with live music, barbecue vendors, and local craft beer from Saddle Mountain Brewing Company. Then on November 14, Chalk Art in the Park at the Goodyear Recreation Campus invites community members and professional artists to fill the sidewalks with art.  Year-round, Civic Square hosts outdoor artisan markets with live music and food trucks. It's an easy way to meet your neighbors and support local makers.  And When You Come Home… After a day of exploring, Acero on Roosevelt is the place to recharge. Residents enjoy a contemporary clubhouse, a fitness center with indoor and outdoor spaces, resort-style pools and a spa, community BBQ areas with fire pits, and a dedicated dog park. Inside, homes feature in-unit laundry, stainless steel appliances, and private patios.  Goodyear gives you the trails, the ballgames, the local brews, and the community events.
